I bought some copper.
Google Gemini suggested that copper is the hot new commodity in 2026 because gold and silver have already increased so much in price.
Some gold ETF shares I had bought after my birthday in December have increased a LOT - Up by over 11% in just the past month as of this writing!
Historically, I have tried to buy stocks on limit orders. I placed an order at night, but in the morning, I noticed copper prices were just creeping up. I tried increasing my bed amount and placing a new order. Anyway, by about 11:30 in the morning, my 4th order did go through, and I finally bought 700 shares of COPX, a copper ETF.
By close of day, my purchase had increased in value by $680.
Time will tell how this investment does over the course of the year...
