My first Music Video
A 3-minute underwater fantasy video inspired by Atlantis

In July, 2025, I embarked on an exciting creative experiment that brought together multiple AI tools to produce a 3-minute music video. What started as merely following a tutorial became a personal exploration of how artificial intelligence can enhance and streamline the creative process, culminating in a finished piece that seamlessly blends AI-generated music, visuals, and animation with my personal photo collection.
The Inspiration
The project began when my friend Ioan created a comprehensive tutorial on AI music video creation. His step-by-step approach demystified what seemed like a complex process and showed me how various AI tools could work together harmoniously to create something truly unique.
My Creative Toolkit
The beauty of this project lies in the orchestration of different AI platforms, each contributing their strengths:
ChatGPT for Lyrics: Ioan shared the lyrics of a song he crafted with ChatGPT to get me started. He told me it was a made-up language, which, to me, resembled Gaelic.
Aenurae's Call (Song of the Lost Sea Throne) —
Prompt: Cinematic underwater fantasy chant in an ancient invented language. Flowing female and male vocals, ethereal choir, oceanic harp, glassy ambient textures, slow strings, deep sea resonance. Atlantis-like city sleeps below, glowing and sacred. Mysterious, haunting, majestic.
— [Intro – descent through water and ruins] Naelith… vro’an seliah… Orru’vai… shaelynn torah… (shaelynn… torah…)
Suno AI for Music: This platform ($10 a month) transforms the lyrics into actual music. It generates two versions of each song each time. After listening to four versions, I chose the very first version for my project. My wife Eileen heard me playing this and thought it was a track by Enya!
Midjourney for Visual Imagery: I'm on the Midjourney Pro plan ($60 monthly) because it allows unlimited video generation. Knowing that the music was 3 minutes 20 seconds and that typical AI videos in Kling are 5 seconds, I broke the music into 5-second segments. I used ChatGPT to imagine the appropriate visuals after giving it a vague storyline. Incorporating a handful of images from my photo collection to inspire Midjourney's image generation capabilities was particularly satisfying. The opening scene of the boat, a clock in the air, a couple of images from Dubai Expo 2020, and an image of ET were blended in. This helped me create stunning visuals that maintained a personal connection while leveraging AI's creative potential.
Kling AI for Animation: When I produced the video in July, Midjourney did not allow HD videos, so I used Kling. Last year on Black Friday, I took advantage of a sale and signed up for a year of Kling video generation (About $300). (In August, Midjourney also allowed HD videos.) Kling added the dynamic movement and visual flow that transformed individual images into a cohesive video narrative.
Capcut for Video Editing: For about three years, I have used SuperimposeV to edit short videos on my iPhone or iPad. In this case, because I was following a tutorial and wanted to explore new tools, I downloaded the free version of CapCut on my PC. The software was surprisingly intuitive, and I stitched together the video clips from Midjourney & Kling, syncing them with the audio track.
Lessons Learned
AI as a Creative Partner: Rather than replacing human creativity, these AI tools amplified my ideas and helped execute concepts that would have been technically challenging or time-consuming to create traditionally.
Personal Touch Matters: Incorporating my photo collection ensured the final product maintained a personal connection despite being heavily AI-assisted.
Technical Skills Still Count: While AI tools simplified many aspects, understanding how to craft effective prompts and manage the technical pipeline remained crucial.
The Final Result
The completed 3-minute music video represents a successful fusion of AI capabilities and human creativity. It demonstrates how modern tools can make sophisticated creative projects accessible to individuals without traditional technical expertise in music production, animation, or video editing.
Reflections on AI-Assisted Creativity
This project highlighted the potential and current limitations of AI creative tools. While these platforms can produce impressive results, the human element—in conceptualization, curation, and refinement—remains essential for creating work that feels authentic and purposeful.
The experience also underscored the importance of tutorials like Ioan's in making these technologies accessible. Having a structured approach helped navigate the learning curve and achieve professional-looking results.
Looking Forward
This music video project has opened my eyes to the possibilities of AI-assisted creative work. The combination of accessibility, quality, and creative potential suggests we're entering an era where individual creators can produce content that previously required entire teams and significant budgets.
I'm excited to continue exploring these tools and pushing the boundaries of what's possible when human creativity meets artificial intelligence.
